Cumbria travelled to Bromborough Golf club for their match against Cheshire on Wednesday 8 June.
After a long journey due to traffic, the staff were very welcoming.
We had lovely weather for our practice round. The course was in great condition.
We had a few showers at first but they disappeared and we had a hot sunny day.

Dry warm day at Silloth with a tricky wind from the east making the course difficult to play. Great to see so many supporters from Cumbria again. Once again we were all treated to some great golf with a real battle between the 2 Kaths upfront. Our Kathryn missed a putt on the 17th to go one down and it looked like she could win the 18th when Kath missed her drive, but with a great recovery shot the hole was halved. Sue Cotter was able to beat newcomer Jane Burke. Everyone battled hard against tough opposition of England players and ex professionals and showed the true Cumbria grit. Cheshire worthy winners and took the Richardson Trophy for yet another year. Well played girls, proud of you as ever. Have loved my year as captain thanks to you all.
Very pleased to have the Serena the Silloth Lady Captain with us again and great hospitality from the club as always. Thank you Silloth you have done us proud. Lady Captain Margaret
